Zen4’s Pricing
Do bear in mind, this is just the tray version (without a cooler and a box). The prices may initially look really high, but these are in CAD (Canadian dollar). On converting them to USD, we get:
R5 7600X = 423.99CAD or $330R7 7700X = 613.99CAD or $479R9 7900X = 777.99CAD or $600R9 7950X = 1,140.99CAD or $900
That’s a massive price bump from Zen3. The R5 7600X is way out of the 200 dollar category.
R9 5950X: $799 (Now $545)R9 5900X: $549 (Now $389)R7 5800X: $449 (Now $299)R5 5600X: $299 (Now $199)
Does AMD really trust their new architecture that well? Possibly, these prices may just be placeholders. AMD may drop its pricing when Raptor Lake launches as was done previously. The i5-13600K will attract that R5 7600X to the sub $250 category, although is AMD planning to reduce prices just 1 month after launch? That’s yet to be seen. Take these prices with a grain of salt.
Initial Leaks
These processors now have a really high chance to be included in the initial Zen4 lineup. A while back, AMD accidentally tagged a few CPUs in their listings namely
Ryzen 9 7950XRyzen 9 7900XRyzen 7 7700XRyzen 5 7600X
Similarly, a source told us the MSRPs of these Zen4 CPUs: Ryzen 7 7700X MSRP = Ryzen 7 5700X MSRP ($299) ($249.00 As of now) Ryzen 7 7800X MSRP > Ryzen 7 5800X MSRP ($449) ($299.99 As of now) Ryzen 9 7xy0X MSRP > Ryzen 9 5xy0X MSRP Now to debunk this leak, the R7 7700X is compared against the R7 5700X, which was not released initially for Zen3. Moving on to the R7 7800X, this SKU has seen no mention so far pointing towards the fact that it may be an -X3D refresh for 2023.
Launch Date
These CPUs are planned for launch on the 15th of September, where an announcement will be made on the 29th of August.
