Starting with the size, the specs on the sheet match earlier leaks. The iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Plus are 6.7-inches in size, while the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro are 6.1-inches in size. Coming to the display brightness, the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models max out at 1200 nits and the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus models will max out at 1000 nits. If these numbers are accurate, it will be a decent improvement from last year’s lineup. The iPhone 13 for example maxed out 800 nits in outdoor conditions, and the iPhone 13 Pro at 1000 nits. This time around, the resolutions between models don’t differ much and all of them almost have the same pixels per inch. Another interesting tidbit, not all the phones in the iPhone 14 lineup have the same SoC. As pointed out by noted analyst Ming Chi Kuo months earlier, the base iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Plus will feature last year’s A15 SoC, with 6GB of DDR4X RAM. The iPhone 14 Pro Max and Pro models will feature the latest A16 SoC, with 6GB of the faster DDR5 RAM.
iPhone 14 Price Increase
Earlier, it was rumored the iPhone 14 lineup would be slightly more expensive. The leaked spec sheet also confirms it. According to the sheet, the iPhone 14 Pro is stating at CNY 9899 (~$1,426), which is higher than launch price of the base iPhone 13 Pro, at CNY 7999 (~$1,152). Even the models without the newer SoC have a decent uptick in price from last year, for example the base 128GB iPhone 13 was launched in China for just CNY 5,199 (~$749), whereas the leaked spec sheet marks the starting price of the iPhone 14 at CNY 6699 (~$965). Although, like with most leaks, take this with a pinch of salt. The Apple event is just a few days away anyways, so we wouldn’t have to wait very long for a confirmation.
